Terms

Field Guides is free to read. These terms cover what the guides are, what they are not, and how you may use them.

Educational content, not professional advice

Read this one

Everything here is general, educational material written from one practitioner's experience. It is not legal, regulatory, compliance, financial, investment, tax, security or career advice, and reading it creates no professional relationship. Guides that touch regulated areas — KYC and AML, payments, DeFi and smart contracts, AI governance — describe how practitioners think about those problems; they do not tell you what your obligations are. Get advice from a qualified professional for your situation before acting.

Accuracy and currency

I work to keep the guides correct, but tools, prices, regulations and companies change, and some pages will be out of date or wrong. Company and market write-ups are independent research from public sources, reflect a point in time, and are not endorsed by or affiliated with the companies named. Interview-prep material is preparation, not a prediction or a guarantee of any outcome. If you spot an error, open an issue.

Code and commands

Code samples, SQL, configuration and shell commands are provided as illustrations. Review and test anything before you run it, especially against production systems, real funds or live smart contracts. You run it at your own risk.

Using the content

No warranty, limited liability

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, anything published here or on any site it links to.

Supporting the site

Contributions made through the support links are voluntary gifts. They are processed by the third-party provider you choose, under its terms, and buy no product, service or access — everything stays free to read.

Changes

These terms may be updated; the date at the top shows the latest revision, and continuing to use the site means you accept the current version. How the site handles data is covered on the privacy page.
